Food Network NYC Dining Guide 2011

The Food Network NYC 2011 Dining Guide landed in my mailbox earlier today.  I finally just had a chance to take a quick glimpse through it, and I’m hungry alll over again.  Here’s the attached file for those who’s interested, FNM3502_NYC_DiningGuide_v10 but amongst some of them that I definitely agree on:

– Best Coffee – BLUE BOTTLE – OMG, if you haven’t tried it, YOU MUST.  Despite the fact it takes 10 minutes for them to make a cup of coffee, the wait is definitely WORTH IT.

– Best Salad – CHOP’T – can’t agree more.  Any of their salads can be eaten as a salad or a wrap.

– Best Doughnut – Doughnut Plant – I’m not a fan of doughnuts in general and I love this place.  If you can get past the high price tag, you’ll also love this place

– Best BBQ – Fette Sau – There is always a line for this place, but so worth it.

Who’s hungry and whats for dinner tonight?

Wearable Sunscreen

Even if you don’t burn easily, it’s still very important to wear sunscreen in the summer.  We’re hitting the hundred degree temperatures in NYC today, and I HATE putting sunscreen on. No matter what brand of sunscreen, I’ve yet to find one that doesn’t have some form of scent or some oily residue I feel it leaves behind on my skin.

I was excited to find these UVF 50 clothing from Uniglo.  For those of you who doesn’t understand what that is, the UVF (Ultraviolet Protection Factor) rating system measures the UV protection provided by fabric.  It is very similar to the SPF rating system used for sunscreens.

A garment with a UPF of 50 only allows 1/50th of the UV radiation falling on the surface of the garment to pass through it. In other words, it blocks 49/50ths or 98% of the UV radiation.

Uniglo has a full collection of “wearable sunscreen” with the UVF 50 protection.  Some of these are even quite appropriate for work.  For the full collection, Click Here.

Here are some my favorites.  What do you guys think?
