Fall 2011 Trends

We hate to admit it but Fall is really right around the corner, and it’s ALMOST time to reshuffle the clothes in your closet all over again.  One good thing is it’s really another excuse to go shopping all over again.  So what are the trends to look for this fall?

A Touch of Lace – Lace has always been hella sexy and not something we can easily wear to work – but this Fall, all of this changes, and lace is going classy, easily transitioning itself to from daytime to night weeknight outfit.

Bell Bottoms & Wide Leg Pants – skinny jeans and leggings had their time to shine – it was about time the fashion gods decide they needed something completely different; so they bought back bell bottoms & wide leg pants from the 70s and 80s for us.  Expect to start seeing these in stores begging you to buy them.  Now don’t you just wish you saved those pair of jeans from the junior high school days?

Color and well Color Pants – Surprisingly, color is here to stay for the Fall.  We’re seeing plenty of colored jeans and even more rich  color clothing.  Think cobalt blue, jade green, mustard hues and then well, very bright color pants.

High Slit Skirts/Dresses  – The hemlines on these skirts/dresses may have gotten longer, but the slits have definitely gotten higher.  A slight conservative sexiness to these.  You decide how much legs you’ll show depending on how you’ll sit and walk.

Leather Skirts – Designers have found a new way to pair our all time favorites – leather skirts.  This fall, we’re pairing them with big sweaters, sweatshirt like tops, and casual chic tops.

Plaid & Stripes – yep – designers went for the head to toe plaid & stripes look on the runway.  We get it.  Plaids & Stripes are in this season, but when the time comes, we’re wearing this the modern way – ONE piece at a time.

What other trends have you guys spotted that we didn’t?  Which trend are you guys most excited about?
