Why women still can’t have it all

I read an article in the Atlantic Magazine today, the article titled – “Why Women still can’t have it all”?

This article really touched my heart in many ways because I am that woman.  A woman who wants it all but still have time to have a family, a life and yes, still stay young, thin and beautiful.

I’ve been struggling with work/life balance quite a bit lately.  I wake up early enough to have breakfast with my kids, but there are nights – don’t get home early enough to see them off to bed.  Essentially, my nanny raise my children.  But at the same point, I’m not yet ready to give up a career that I’ve built in the last 10 years.

Here’s one of my favorite quotes in the story.

“Which means I’d been part, albeit unwittingly, of making millions of women feel that they are to blame if they cannot manage to rise up the ladder as fast as men and also have a family and an active home life (and be thin and beautiful to boot). ”
